For the Meatballs:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For Serving (optional):
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
- Mix the Meatball Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form Meatballs: Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place them on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil.
- Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
- Serve: Optionally, simmer the meatballs in marinara sauce for 5 minutes before serving.
