Description

This Turmeric Morning Glory Smoothie is a vibrant and nutritious blend that combines the tropical sweetness of pineapple and bananas with the earthy warmth of turmeric and fresh ginger. Enhanced with coconut milk and water, it’s a refreshing and health-boosting way to start your day, delivering antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits in a delicious, easy-to-make smoothie.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 2 ripe bananas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 carrots (peeled and cut into chunks)

Liquids & Flavorings

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Spices & Extras

  • 1 small slice fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather all the fresh pineapple chunks, slice a small piece of fresh ginger, peel and cut carrots into chunks, and have ripe bananas ready. Measure out coconut milk, coconut water, turmeric, and vanilla extract.
  2. Add Ingredients to Blender: Place the ingredients into a high-powered blender in the following order: pineapple chunks, ginger slice, bananas, carrot chunks, coconut milk, coconut water, ground turmeric, and vanilla extract. Adding liquids last helps with blending.
  3. Start Blending: Secure the blender lid tightly to avoid spills. Start the blender on low speed to combine the ingredients gently and avoid overworking the motor initially.
  4. Blend Until Smooth: Gradually increase the blender speed to high and blend for 30 seconds up to 1 minute, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and evenly mixed with no chunks remaining.
  5. Serve Immediately: Pour the finished smoothie into glasses and enjoy right away to benefit from maximum freshness and optimal flavor.

Notes

  • Fresh or frozen bananas can be used depending on preference or availability.
  • Adjust the amount of turmeric to taste if you prefer a milder or stronger spice flavor.
  • For a creamier texture, use full-fat coconut milk; light coconut milk will produce a thinner smoothie.
  • If you want extra sweetness, add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup.
  • This smoothie is best consumed immediately but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours—shake or stir before drinking.
