Description

This Tzatziki Chicken Naan Pizza is a delicious and quick fusion dish that combines the crispy base of naan bread with flavorful shredded chicken, fresh vegetables, and creamy tzatziki sauce. Perfect for a light lunch or dinner, it’s easy to prepare in under 30 minutes and brings a Mediterranean twist to classic pizza night.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 2 naan breads
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Toppings

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese

Sauce & Garnish

  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh parsley or dill (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a baking sheet inside to heat up. This ensures the naan gets crispy quickly when baked.
  2. Prepare the Naan: Brush each naan bread lightly with olive oil on both sides and place them on the preheated baking sheet carefully.
  3. Add Cheese Layer: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over each naan, making sure to leave a small border around the edges to keep the crust crisp.
  4. First Bake: Bake the naan with cheese for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the naan turns slightly golden.
  5. Top with Chicken and Veggies: Remove the naan from the oven and layer on the cooked shredded chicken, thinly sliced red onion, and halved cherry tomatoes evenly over the cheese.
  6. Second Bake: Return the naan pizzas to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the toppings are warmed through and slightly roasted.
  7. Add Tzatziki and Garnishes: Remove the pizzas from the oven and generously drizzle the tzatziki sauce on top. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese and fresh parsley or dill to enhance flavors.
  8. Serve: Slice the naan pizzas and serve immediately while warm and fresh for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • You can make your own tzatziki sauce using Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and fresh dill for a fresher taste.
  • Use leftover cooked chicken or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like sliced cucumbers or olives as extra toppings.
  • For a crispier crust, bake the naan directly on an oven rack or pizza stone instead of a baking sheet.
