Cake:

Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the cake batter: Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, mix in vanilla. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, then pour batter into pan.
- Bake the cake: Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool cake in the pan on a wire rack.
- Make the frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, add powdered sugar gradually, mix in vanilla and salt.
