For the Chicken Patties:
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For Cooking and Serving:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayonnaise, or mustard
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Toast the burger buns if desired, then assemble the burgers with your preferred toppings.
- Serve immediately.
