For the Skillet:
- 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin or flank steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
For Garnish:
- 4 slices provolone cheese or ½ cup shredded provolone
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté vegetables: Add the onions and peppers, sauté for 5-6 minutes until tender.
- Add garlic: Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Cook beef: Add beef, sear for 2-3 minutes, then combine with veggies.
- Season: Add Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Melt cheese: Lay provolone over the top, cover the skillet for 1-2 minutes until melted.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve over rice, in lettuce wraps, or stuffed into hoagie rolls.
- For extra heat, add crushed red pepper or sliced jalapeños.
